German is a trained architect with 30 years of international experience spanning masterplanning, architectural design, project delivery, and business leadership. He has worked across the full development process, from design and construction to operations and management, on complex projects throughout the UK, USA, Middle East, Russia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and South America.

He has complemented his architectural training with studies in business administration, finance, and leadership. Over two decades with internationally recognised practices, including Foster + Partners and Richard Rogers Partnership, both Pritzker Prize–winning practices, Heatherwick Studio, and most recently Bjarke Ingels Group, he progressed from architect and designer to senior executive, serving most recently as Managing Director for the Southern Europe and Mediterranean Region at BIG.

In recent years, German has led company operations, strategy, and business development across Southern Europe, North Africa, the Mediterranean, and parts of the Middle East, combining architectural expertise with commercial, financial, and organisational leadership.

At Heatherwick Studio, he led the delivery of the Google campuses in Mountain View and Sunnyvale, totalling more than 5.5 million sq ft, as well as an 85-acre mixed-use masterplan in San Jose, California, incorporating residential, office, commercial, hotel, event, and infrastructure components, alongside projects across the UK and Asia.

His experience also includes leadership roles on internationally recognised projects including Apple Park in Cupertino and Buenos Aires City Hall while at Foster + Partners; 3 World Trade Center in New York, the Leadenhall Building in London, and the 23-acre Wood Wharf masterplan in London while at Richard Rogers Partnership (RSHP), among many others.
